It’s been almost two weeks since our return from Hong Kong, and our first days in China already seem like an eternity ago. It was an incredible trip. I think we saw more of Hong Kong than anyone has ever seen in seven days. We walked all over the island. Saw all kinds of different neighborhoods, ate all kinds of gloriously delicious food, had the chance to experience a little bit of what life is like for my bro and sis over there, spent time with my nephew, managed to have a sweet little two-day romantic getaway for our anniversary, hiked to some gorgeous waterfalls for a bit of cliff jumping, went shopping at a night market, had lovely chill mornings and times of rest, YOU NAME IT.
We did lots. And I took lots of pictures. I mean tons. Hong Kong is an incredibly aesthetically fascinating city, and I couldn’t help but keep my camera glued to my person, hoping to capture it in a way that would bring me back to the sounds, sights, smells, and hot humid air anytime I revisited these photos. So instead of trying to detail our trip in words (which would be the longest blog post EVER), these are what I’ll share. Enjoy!
Believe it or not, all these pictures bring us through only about half of our trip, to our first full day in Macau, which is about an hour ferry ride from Hong Kong. I’m saving the rest of my photos (which have yet to be taken from my camera) for a future date. Hope you enjoyed the first bunch!
